Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for being the incredible support system my mom and our family can lean on during this journey. Your love, encouragement, and strength mean more than words can express, and we are so grateful to have each of you by our side.

I created this page as a central space to share updates on my mom’s care and progress. It serves two purposes: to keep everyone informed without the need for repeating details and to create a record for myself of everything happening along the way. Managing appointments, scans, and treatments can be overwhelming, and this page is a way to streamline communication while giving my mom more time to rest and recharge.

The name of this page, "Sí Se Puede Hazel," comes from a mantra that has been woven into the fabric of my life. Sí Se Puede—“Yes, we can”—was more than a phrase in our home; it was a rallying cry, a reminder of our strength, and a declaration of hope. Growing up, my mom would chant it to me whenever I faced something difficult, instilling in me the belief that I could rise above any challenge.

The classic Sí Se Puede image of the woman with the red bandana and her powerful muscle pose was the very first painting hung in my room. My mom put it there to remind me of who I am and the strength I carry. She has always been my greatest cheerleader, my unwavering source of encouragement.

Now, it’s time to pass the baton to her. My mom needs this saying to carry her through, just as she has carried it for me and so many others. Sí Se Puede Hazel is more than just a name—it’s a testament to her resilience and a beacon of hope for the journey ahead.
